Perbelanjaan terhadap elemen-elemen ini lazimnya dibelanja tanpa mementingkan unsur prioriti dalam perbelanjaan. Artikel ini akan menjelaskan elemen perbelanjaan dalam urusan perkahwinan sama ada yang dituntut oleh syarak mahupun adat atau trend sambutan semasa. Artikel juga turut akan mengemukakan konsep keutamaan perbelanjaan mengikut fiqh kepenggunaan dan seterusnya menganalisis keutamaan perbelanjaan untuk perkahwinan berdasarkan konsep perkahwinan menurut Islam. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, kajian yang berbentuk dokumentasi terhadap bahan ilmiah dalam bidang fiqh kepenggunaan, fiqh kekeluargaan dan adat perkahwinan masyarakat Melayu ini akan menyusun dan menganalisis data-data yang diperolehi dengan menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa prioriti dalam perbelanjaan adalah merujuk kepada dua aspek iaitu keutamaan dari sudut tingkat perbelanjaan dan tujuan berbelanja. Kedua keutamaan ini amat perlu dititikberatkan bagi setiap bakal pengantin dalam memastikan perbelanjaan perkawinan dapat diuruskan dengan baik bertepatan dengan anjuran syarak dengan berteraskan konsep fiqh kepenggunaan.
